Entry Assessments

FS1- FS2

Foundation Stage

Children applying for Foundation Stage (FS1 and FS2) will be assessed on their prior knowledge of language usage, fine and gross motor skills, social skills and behaviour.

1- 2

YEAR

Year 1 and Year 2

Children applying for Year 1 and Year 2 are given assessments in Math and English appropriate to their age. In addition to this, they will also be evaluated on their ability to sustain a conversation, social skills and behavior.

3 - 6

YEAR

Year 3 to Year 6

Entry assessments for Year 3 – Year 6 are conducted under exam conditions. We allow students time to complete the assessments. These assessments are designed for the year group for which the pupil is applying for. They consist of a Math, English Reading Comprehension and Writing and speaking skills.

Upon receipt of the online application the Admissions Department will contact parents with the dates and times for admissions assessments.

The following documents will also be required:
• A copy of your child’s birth certificate.
• A copy of your child’s passport or ID “if issued”
• 8 passport size photographs of student.
• 2 passport size photos of each parent.
• A copy of the parents’/guardians’ ID or passport.
• A letter of behaviour or good conduct from your child’s previous school.
• A copy of your child's immunization record.
All these documents can be scanned and returned to our admissions department. Any missing documents can be brought to the school at your convenience.

IMPORTANT: Transfer certificate from the Ministry of Education.
Once your child has been offered a seat at RISE, we need the above documents to properly register him/her with the Ministry of Education.

Entrance Examination

RISE makes use of international assessments as part of its admissions process. Dates and times for admissions assessments will be provided by Admissions Department to the parents.
